Experienced Caswell House wedding photographer

As a busy Oxfordshire based wedding photographer, I always love returning to capture wedding photography at Caswell House.  And Sarah and Tom’s spring wedding gave me the chance to do just that.

Caswell House is a stunning Cotswold wedding venue with beautiful stone honey-coloured barns dating back to the 15th century that sit alongside gorgeous gardens including an ancient orchard.  One of the many things I love about being a Caswell House wedding photographer is that everything is in one place in an utterly romantic and idyllic location.  This allowed Sarah, Tom and their guests to really step away from it all and enjoy exclusive use of this amazing wedding venue. On the day, I woke to overcast, windy but thankfully dry weather and headed over to Caswell House to capture those all-important morning of the wedding images.   Sarah and her bridal party were getting ready in The Dressing Room, this light and spacious room is perfectly designed for wedding preparations and was spacious enough to accommodate Sarah, her bridal party, her hair stylist and make-up artist and me, the most unobtrusive wedding photographer in Oxfordshire! Sarah was in the capable hands of make-up artist Lisa Putzolu and hairstylist Carly Cox.   The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and there was a bit of bubbly on hand to get the celebrations started early.  I got some really lovely candid images of everybody as well as some of the bridal party in their co-ordinated robes.

I then headed over to Keepers Retreat to catch up with Tom and his groom’s party. I found everybody in high spirits, and got some great images, especially of the boys helping one another with their bow ties. Then I was back to Sarah and her bridal party.  Sarah looked stunning in a gorgeous lace detail dress with a beautiful A-line skirt with a train at the back that gave Sarah an amazing silhouette in all of my images.  Before heading to the ceremony, I captured a very sweet father seeing the bride moment.

Sarah’s bridesmaids looked elegant in blush and sage dresses.  Bouquets were gorgeous and were created by Joanne Carter who did all of the flowers on the day.  The bridal party also included a very sweet flower girl who performed her duties perfectly.

The ceremony was taking place in Caswell House’s main barn.  This stunning barn has a flagstone floor and authentic oak beams with nets of fairy lights strewn across the ceiling.  It was an elegant and magical setting for a wedding ceremony.  In the barn before the ceremony, I managed to capture a few images of Tom and his groom’s party.  Tom looked very smart in a green velvet jacket with a matching bow tie.

Sarah was walked down the aisle by her father.  There followed a really lovely ceremony that included a reading and culminated in a spontaneous round of applause as Sarah and Tom walked back down the aisle as a married couple.

Then there was a fun confetti moment outside in Caswell House’s pretty courtyard which produced one of my favourite images of the day. Here take a look

This was followed by an elegant drinks and canapes reception.  I took the chance to get some group images of the wedding party as well as some candid images of guests mingling and enjoying themselves.

I must mention the wedding cakes.  They were fun bride and groom Colin and Connie caterpillar cakes.  Who doesn’t love a caterpillar cake!

Evening celebrations started with a romantic first dance for Sarah and Tom.  Not that they were alone on the dancefloor for long.   Their guests were really up for a party and it wasn’t long before the dance floor was full and got to take some really fun images.  And it was the image of Sarah and Tom embracing on the dancefloor with their loved ones partying all around them that felt like the perfect image to close the story of their amazing day.

A gorgeous wedding full of love and laughter at a simply stunning Oxfordshire wedding venue.  Congratulations to Sarah and Tom for getting married and creating such an amazing day for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember.  I hope my images will enable you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
