Tythe Barn Launton Wedding Photographer
I am so pleased to have the beautiful Tythe Barn, Launton on my doorstep. It is a wonderful venue set in rural countryside just outside Bicester, Oxfordshire. I have photographed a number of weddings here and the beauty of the venue in both summer and winter makes it the perfect year round venue in Oxfordshire. Gorgeous summer evenings with stunning sunsets overlooking fields for miles ahead and cosy short winter nights under the twinkly light canopy creates an equally perfect winter wedding venue.
I am there to capture all of these natural moments as your day unfolds. I love nothing more than mingling amongst the guests and celebrating into the night with you all, making sure I’m never too intrusive with my candid, documentary style of Photography.
The Farmhouse
The bridal party won’t be disappointed with the spacious Farmhouse for pre wedding preparations. It is such a joy to be able to capture all the pre-wedding excitement within this English manor house which is the perfect backdrop for a champagne breakfast. It is the ideal luxury retreat with separate spaces for both the Bride and Groom to get ready. There is even a pool-table and tennis court should you need to calm those last minute nerves! A cute Shepherds hut for two with a wood-fired hot tub is also available for the evening of your wedding night. What more could a couple ask for!
The Ceremony
The centrepiece of the magnificent Tythe Barn wedding venue is The Thatched Barn. It is a 14th century barn that has been carefully restored for modern day use. Think Cotswold stone, high oak beams and tonnes of fairy lights. It really is effortless to create natural romantic photographs of you and your guests. The light airy barn is beaming with light during the summer months and holds a perfect warm glow from the fairy lights during the cooler seasons. Licensed for up to 150 guests for a Civil ceremony the Tythe Barn can host a large wedding breakfast to smaller intimate celebrations. This Wedding venue really can cater for all whatever the weather!
During the summer months there is the option for an outdoor ceremony. Walking through the Wisteria Aisle the colour and fragrance of the flowers makes for a quintessentially english wedding setting. Your guests seated, the purple flowers hanging, quiet instrumental music plays ahead of the big moment. A truly wonderful place to say your ‘I do’s’.
After The Ceremony
No need to move inside, if the British weather is on your side the outside place at The Tythe barn is exceptional, you can enjoy your drinks reception either infront of the Barn looking out towards the sheep walking through the fields or to rear either side of Wisteria Aisle. Sip champagne in a shady corner of the garden and hear the laughter of young and old alike playing games on the lawn as the sun goes down. Dance under the stars or grab a cocktail by the log burner with a sheep-skin throw for a truly magical outdoor wedding.
The Party
The parties continue late into the evening at the Tythe Barn. With a bar that is next to the dance floor, guests can easily mingle and celebrate in one space. Again the backdrop for the party is superb with the ability for games on the lawn in the summer or a party under the fairy lights in the winter.
Location
To add the final cherry on the cake this venue is perfectly located for guests near and far. Situated just outside the market town of Bicester, Oxfordshire, the M40 motorway is just 10 minutes from the venue. Yet it is set amongst such beautiful grounds and countryside scenery you would never know! Equally a short 30 minutes from London via train to Bicester Village Station and then a bus or taxi to the Tythe Barn.
The Tythe Barn Wedding venue is also very well connected to Oxfordshire and beyond. I would encourage you to have a ‘mini-moon’ in the nearby Cotswolds or suggest your guests spend an extra night in Bicester. Perhaps lap up the luxury shopping opportunities at Bicester Village or hop on the short bus ride to Oxford for a quick city sightseeing trip. Further afield there is the famous Bourton-on-the-water Cotswold village, Daylesford farm shop or Diddly Squat farm as made famous on Clarksons Farm. If your guests have little ones there is Cotswold Wildlife park just 40mins away.
I may be slightly biassed of course due to the venue's location and surrounding areas but the fantastic, friendly team at the Tythe Barn Launton will make sure everything is thought of and you have the perfect day, with the best Photographer in Oxfordshire of course ;)
