WHY I LOVE THE BAY TREE HOTEL?

The Bay Tree Hotel in Burford is the ideal setting for any wedding. It is the perfect wedding venue for this relaxed day. The Bay Tree Hotel is a unique venue that is set in the heart of the Cotswold’s and has the feel of a country pub with beautiful gardens and hotel rooms to boot. It could be an equally wonderful setting for a cosy, indoor, winter wedding but on this occasion the sun shone gloriously for the couples fabulous summer wedding day.

THE CEREMONY

I was delighted to be able to capture all the amazing moments that happened throughout their day. From the ceremony that took place in the summer house to the games in the stunning manicured gardens, their wedding was a wonderfully laid back summer celebration. They had exclusive use of the venue so guests could either mingle outside or spend time within the Woolsack bar or the Library. 

THE EVENING

As the sun was setting, I stole the happy couple away for ten minutes to capture some beautiful relaxed portraits. The light as the sun faded was perfect and the newly weds were completely lost in the moment which was a joy to capture. Shortly after this, the couple had their first dance outside on the terrace, creating a fun festival vibe which was wonderful to capture on a balmy summers evening.  All the guests then joined in and danced the night away.
